Ximo Gual
Dr. Ximo Gual Arnau graduated in mathematics and obtained his Ph.D. in Integral Geometry and Stereology at the University of Valencia, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. Since March 2009 he has been Professor of Geometry and Topology at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón.
Prof. Gual-Arnau has been invited as a keynote speaker at various international conferences to describe and discuss the current state of theoretical development of new results in Integral Geometry, as the basis of Stereology by design; new developments Stochastic Geometry, as a basis for Stereology by model; and new developments in statistical geometry as the basis of image analysis.
He has been a member of the scientific committee and organizer of 8 international conferences and workshops and courses related to the topics mentioned above. He has been a researcher in 18 research projects (3 European) and the scientific coordinator of 4 research projects and 2 contracts with Spanish companies.
Ximo has taught for the last 25 years in different degrees, masters and doctorates: mathematics, chemistry, industrial engineering, economics, … He has received, in different years, the congratulation of the institution for the good results obtained in the evaluation of his teaching.
From 2010 until now he is the Director of the School of Technology and Experimental Sciences.
