Are you passionate about mobile photography?
We invite you to take part in the Digital Photography Contest held on the occasion of the International Day of Light 2026, an initiative aimed at highlighting creativity and artistic perspectives on optical phenomena.
This year’s challenge is to capture the beauty of light in all its forms: reflections, shadows, colours, transparencies, and optical effects that surround us in everyday life.
Participation
You can submit your photograph in two ways:
– By posting it on Instagram using the hashtag #DiaLlumUJI
– Or by sending it via email to: dil@uji.es
Submission deadline: 1 May at 23:59 h
Categories
– Students of the Universitat Jaume I
– Members of AlumniSAUJI
– Secondary school students from Castelló
Prizes
– €100 and a diploma for the winning photograph
– Three runners-up prizes with diplomas and a UJI promotional merchandise pack
This contest is organised by the Optical Research Group of the Universitat Jaume I, as part of the commemorative programme for the International Day of Light (16 May), which will include activities on Friday 15 May.
