Pablo Aibar studied the Degree in Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, obtaining the degree in 1990. In 1997 he received a doctorate in Computer Science from the same University. He joined the UJI as an assistant professor in October 1995. In 1999, he obtained the position of Full Professor at the University, which he currently holds.
He has taught in the first and second cycle of the old degrees, in doctorate and, currently, in undergraduate studies.
His teaching activity has focused mainly on old computer science degrees. He currently teaches undergraduate classes in Tourism. His teaching activity is generally well valued by students, having obtained in the last academic years in which he has taught an average assessment in teaching surveys higher than 4 points out of 5.
Her fields of scientific interest include machine learning, shape recognition, language technologies, and algorithms. He has participated in national research projects and is the co-author of articles and presentations at national and international conferences, both teaching and research. He is part of the Computational Perception and Learning research group and is a member of the Institute of New Imaging Technologies.
He has been a member of the UJI faculty uninterruptedly since July 2002 and a member of the UJI Governing Council in various stages since 2003. He has been part of the center boards of the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences. , from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences and the School of Technology and Experimental Sciences. He has headed the Department of Languages ​​and Computer Systems from May 2001 to May 2009 and from June 2010 to July 2011, when he was appointed Vice Chancellor for Campus, New Technologies and PAS, a position he held until June 2014. since that date he has held the position of Vice-Rector for Campus, Infrastructures and New Technologies.
