Educational Activity

The Educational activity is another fundamental pillar of the INIT

INIT TRAINING COURSES

Members of INIT offer various training courses at the UJI University Business Foundation (http://fue.uji.es/formacion/cursos):

  • Masterhttps://fue.uji.es/geosespatial–> The Master in Geospatial Technology program aims to train in many areas of Geographic Information (GI), such as environmental planning, territorial planning, logistics, traffic, marketing, energy supply, etc. The GI market is growing very rapidly and lacks professionals and providing an excellent opportunity for career development.
  • Expert coursehttps://fue.uji.es/ia-videogames -> This course aims to give an introduction to current AI in the world of videogames using the Unity engine for this. Unity is one of the most important engines today and its knowledge is essential to be able to develop games like those made by AAA companies.
  • Expert course – https://fue.uji.es/machine-learning -> Machine learning is a technique that allows machines to learn by themselves. It is a field that is demanding many professionals for the number of possible applications that exist today and for which it is expected that they will exist in the coming years. Among all the techniques that exist, Deep Learning is one of the most important since it is the one that is being used in a multitude of real applications such as autonomous vehicle guidance, object recognition in images and video, online language translation , among many others

INIT/AERFAI Summer School

The INIT/AERFAI Summer School on Machine Learning is organized by the Institute of New Imaging Technologies (INIT) of the University Jaume I of Castellon  and co-sponsored by the Spanish Association of Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis (AERFAI). The focus of this Summer School is to study fundamental and advanced methods aimed at discovering new challenges and trends of Machine Learning, Data Analysis and Data Mining, from theory to practice. This event is open to graduate students, researchers and professionals who are interested in learning or refreshing their knowledge about this exciting field.

Erasmus Mundus en Tecnología Geoespacial

The Erasmus Mundus University Master’s Degree in Geospatial Technologies consists of three semesters, the first two dedicated to the courses of the programme, and the third dedicated to the Master’s thesis.

The first semester is held either in the UJI or at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in Lisbon; the second in the University of Münster (Germany). In the third semester, the Master’s thesis can be completed in the UJI, the University of Munster, or the Universidade NOVA IMS Information Management School.

A network for dynamic WEarable Applications with pRivacy constraints

A-Ware is a new joint/double European doctoral programmes to train a new generation of young researchers in order to be aware of, to cope with, and to disseminate to a large audience the vulnerabilities and the corresponding solutions of the communication and positioning through wearables. The impact of A-WEAR will be to enhance the future social well-being, to contribute to an easy living, effective and enjoyable work, and to offer new solutions to the challenges of violation of privacy by communication and positioning through wearables and to the need of applying the right of the ownership to one’s data.

GEO-C

The program of European doctorate Marie Sklodowska-Curie in Geoinformática realises jointly between the Universitat Jaume I, the Universidade of Lisbon and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. The program of doctorate GEO-C will apply the principles that sustentan the “open movement” (for example, initiatives of open public data directed by some city councils, projects of open source or publications of open access) to tackle key challenges in the construction of intelligent cities. This approach also offers substantial opportunities to create new services for intelligent and open cities that have the potential to impregnate other socioeconomic appearances, environmental and cultural.
