On Wednesday November 25, the Jaume I University and the Sagunto City Council organized the II Online UJI Innovation-Company Conference under the coordination of Espaitec. In the Plenary Hall of the Sagunto City Council, the Mayor of Sagunto, Darío Moreno, and the Deputy Mayor of the District David Cabedo, responsible for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, hosted the Opening Ceremony. To continue operating online in the future.
Once the opening ceremony begins, the day will be focused “Towards the transfer of knowledge. Financing of R + D + i projects between companies and universities ”. With Ismael Rodrigo, director of the Office for Cooperation in Research and Technological Development (OCIT-UJI).
The day will continue with the presentation of a success story, Ampere Energy-Virtual Power Plant, by Úrsula Pérez, Data Scientist at Ampere Energy, and Emilio Pérez, member of the EEA (Electricity, Electronics and Automation) research group of the Jaume I. University
Innovation and technology are the key instruments to get out of the current crisis situation, therefore, research groups from the Jaume I University and professionals from companies in Sagunto and its surroundings, will meet on this day with the aim of responding to the challenges in R + D + i and options for joint collaboration. The director of Espaitec and manager of the General Foundation of the UJI, Juan Antonio Bertolín, will give a presentation about the methodology to follow in the realization of virtual networking meetings and One to One meetings between UJI research groups and companies previously programmed, with a new format designed to adapt to current health circumstances.
The conference is part of the Knowledge Transfer Antenna project, carried out by the Fundación General de la Universitat Jaume I, responsible for the management of Espaitec, the UJI Science and Technology Park, and funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), through the agreement to Promote the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology between the University and the Company and support for the Innovative Entrepreneurship signed with the scientific parks of the Valencian Community.
