JOB OFFER: PhD industrial doctorate in 3D Imaging Technologies

Analog Devices Inc (ADI, http://www.analog.com) offers pre-doctoral
training contracts within a collaboration programme with the Visual
Engineering Group of the Institute for New Imaging Technologies
(https://www.init.uji.es) at the University Jaume I, Castellón, Spain.
The positions are available at Analog Devices SLU, Valencia, Spain, as
part of an internal Industrial PhD programme for research and
specialized technical training in 3D Imaging Technologies.

most of them involved in R&D activities in a highly collaborative and

The Visual Engineering research group at University Jaume I has been
working for the last decades on computer vision, image processing and
machine learning techniques in colour, spectral imaging, motion, active
vision and 3D imaging.

The objective of the project is to develop new technologies related to
3D Imaging sensing and modelling in different levels of the sensing
information chain, using Time of Flight and conventional RGB cameras,
mainly for industrial and consumer applications. The specific research
topic for the contract will depend also on the candidate’s
qualifications and expertise.

CONTRACT CONDITIONS

The initial contract will have a 3 month probation and will have a
maximum duration of 3 years. Annual gross salary will be competitive and
will depend on the candidate qualifications.

All selected candidates should apply for public competitive Industrial
Doctorate funding calls for their PhD training period and they will be
supported by ADI and eVIS for this purpose.
During the PhD tenure, the person will be offered stages in other
development centers and or academic institutions in order to access sate
of the art techniques and training.

Candidates completing the PhD may be offered a position in ADI, whether
in Valencia or any other sites around the world, where they will develop
their professional career in a highly competitive international company
with different possibilities for promotion and internationalization.

CANDIDATES’ REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have a degree and an MSc in Computer Science, Electrical
and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics or
similar.

Current MSc students, who plan to finish their studies in this academic
year are also encouraged to apply.

All selected candidates will have to register for Doctoral Studies as
soon as they fulfil the doctoral studies requirements according to
Spanish regulations.

Advanced level of English is also required. At least B2 English
certificate is needed as a requirement for doctoral studies.
