
The INIT Geotec section (http://www.geotec.uji.es) is part of the consortium of organizations that have obtained financing for the COVMOVTUR project within the FUNDO SUPERA COVID-19 call, jointly launched by the Crue Spanish Universities, CSIC and Banco Santander (http://www.crue.org/Comunicacion/Noticias/FONDOsuperaCOVID19.aspx).
This project aims to analyze the effects of COVID-19 on mobility in tourist territories, as well as the impact of these changes on the health of visitors and residents. To this end, the project has the following specific objectives: Evaluate the dynamic effect of COVID-19 on the mobility of visitors and residents in tourist destinations. Identify the potential impacts of the reconfiguration of mobility on the physical and mental health of visitors and residents. Collaborate with the competent authorities by providing tools for agile management of the impacts of the pandemic on tourist flows and on the daily mobility of residents.
