“SUCRE4Kids is a project that tries to foster curiosity and a scientific vocation, computational thinking and programming for students in secondary education, training cycles and high school. Framed within STEM competencies, SUCRE4Kids combines the use of smart devices and electronic components with block-based visual programming for the realization of real projects. The SUCREKit component case includes the different hardware devices (microcontroller, sensors and actuators) that are assembled to shape the proposed projects. The programming of the hardware assembly is done using a visual block-based programming tool, where each block identifies computing concepts and the electronic devices in the briefcase, in order to give functionality to the assembly and solve the project. ” (Carlos Granell and Sergi Trilles: https://www.novatica.es/el-proyecto-sucre4kids-una-iniciativa-de-hardware-y-software-libre-para-la-introduccion-a-la-programacion/)
