On October 31, a first contact took place to create a line of work in the Institute to make visible the contribution of INIT women to break the gender gap and stereotypes in Science. Elena Chicaiza, founder of R-ladies – Quito (Ecuador) and co-founder of Pyladies Ecuador, moderated a session where the researchers were animated to start working in this direction. The different INIT women researchers are already participating in mentoring activities, awareness raising sessions and are aware of the importance of positioning as STEM references for girls or women. The next steps to be taken by this working group will be the search for synergies with similar initiatives that are being carried out in UJI and the search for opportunities to improve our visibility.
