In the midst of a pandemic, Planeta Debug has grown and evolved, while it has met the new challenges of the Jaume I University, as well as those of the Carasso Foundation, which, led by Isabelle Le Galo, has promoted the Spanish philanthropic coalition foundations for the Climate, together with the Spanish Association of foundations, in order to push “an urgent systemic change, which can only be achieved if efforts are united”. Thus, they will begin with the TALKS! Videogames conference cycle. corresponding to the 2020/21 academic year. This Tuesday, October 20, we will have the first event of this course.

Video games TALKS! is a series of conferences organized by the UJI GAMElab in collaboration with the Jaume I University, the Institute of New Imaging Technologies, the Daniel & Nina Carasso Foundation and the Planeta Debug Project, as they argue.

“We are especially happy to maintain our international spirit -also aligned with the new statuses approved by the UJI Cloister- and catalyst of diverse cultural perspectives. We maintain our collaboration with the Scottish Glasgow Caledonian University, where we work together on the Good Game challenge, the design of video games by students from the Higher School of Technology and Experimental Sciences (ESTCE) inspired by eighteen research groups from the UJI. . This same week we have announced the winners of the first artist residency program at the UJI Arte & Videojuegos laboratories – the creators Mónica Rikic, Fusté and Román Torre Sánchez – and this fall we will host the illustrator Siento Llobell’s campus Programming of Videogames Talks of the UJI Gamelab. After these first 13 months, at the LivingLab PlanetaDebug we maintain our commitment to art as languages to approach sustainability, while investigating, discussing and playing in the universe of the climate crisis ”
